Preparing for the Ceremony

PLEASE join us on time. If you will be more than 5 minutes late, we ask that you respect the ceremonial container and join the next ceremony.

We recommend reducing your caffeine intake on the day of the ceremony and eat a light meal 2 hours before. This will help your system assimilate the cacao and prepare your body for the healing properties of this plant medicine.

Prepare a quiet, comfortable space where you will be undisturbed for the duration of the ceremony. Personalize your space with an altar.

To make this space cozy and welcoming, bring pillows and blankets. Have meaningful objects, a journal & pen, headphones, and some water close to you during the ceremony.

Please prepare your cup of cacao 10 - 15 minutes before the ceremony and put it in a thermos to keep it warm.

Place your intentions into the cacao while you are making it and keep it close to your heart while we begin the ceremony.

We will open the space together and take our first sip of the medicine together, so please wait to drink it.

I've Never Attended A Cacao Ceremony Before, Should I Join?

Yes! Our cacao ceremonies are perfect for those who have experience in cacao and those who have never taken it before. We will guide you through each part of the ceremony. If you need any help please let us know and we'll be there for you. This is a safe space for you to open your heart and express yourself as you are.

Can I Join The Ceremony Without Cacao?

Yes! While it is most effective to have a cacao drink with you, you can use any beverage you feel most comfortable with (coffee, tea, water, etc.)
